Wow! We are starting the 11th month of 2026. It's hard for me to believe that Thanksgiving is only a few weeks away and Christmas is next month! I am NOT ready. With the unusually warm weather we have had it doesn't even really feel like fall yet here. Really makes it hard to get into the holiday spirit!
Personally, this is an insanely busy month for me. I start putting up my Christmas decor this week. This first week will be spent prepping my house - moving furniture and deep cleaning things. Next weekend I am out of town for a night. This really puts me back in my decorating "schedule", but it is what it is. I am also hoping to get a lot of my Christmas shopping done so I don't have to struggle last minute finding stuff. I also decided to go back to work full time this year outside of my business (I needed to get out of the house, and I like to stay busy), so my time is more crunched than usual! Thankfully I work at a school, so my hours aren't bad and I get lots of days off.
Business-wise this month usually keeps me on my toes! People start Christmas shopping and buying things to spruce up their homes. I am going to try my best to update inventory as much as I can to keep the website as accurate as possible. I tend to work late into the evening so it may take me longer to respond to emails as well. I also need to make trips to my booth locations to replenish and refresh inventory there. Trying to cram crafting time into this equation as well. November is going to keep me hoping!
This time of year is such a love/hate type of thing. I absolutely LOVE the holidays - the decorating, the food, time spent with family, but I HATE - the rushing, the worrying, the prepping, the STRESS that comes with it. My family helps where they can, but I am the one who does almost all the holiday work. I am going to try my best to just go with flow. If it gets done great, if it doesn't oh well!
