Summer is here - well maybe not officially just yet! I love this time of year and getting to spend a lot of time outdoors. In the mornings it's nice being able to move my "office" outdoors to my back deck area. By the afternoon I am usually back inside where it's a little cooler. Makes work so much more enjoyable!
I have so much planned to do. Mostly stuff I've been wanting to get done for months now! Sometimes that's just how it goes. Originally earlier this year I had planned to downsize my booth locations to just the one in Carlyle, IL. I did move out of one of the locations in January. It was my smallest one that was furthest away. I didn't get there nearly enough to properly maintain it. I had also planned to move out of or downsize my Greenville, IL booth as well. I finally got there a few weeks ago and I have determined that is going to be too much of a hassle at this time. I have changed my mind and will keep the Greenville location as well. For two big reasons: one it's a very large booth and has a lot of items in it and would be too big of job to try and move all these items to my Carlyle locations not to mention trying to fit them into my Carlyle booths without making it look a hot mess! Secondly, I usually do pretty well at this Antique Mall as long as I keep my booth well stocked and organized. With all that said I have a lot of work to do at this location. Last week I started the process of rearranging everything and putting a lot of items on sale. This is going to take me a few weeks to get totally done. I am also working hard to make some new items to bring in to freshen up the booth. My long-term plan now is to maintain both booth locations keeping them fresh and well stocked with both mass-produced home decor and handmade items.
Sometimes life doesn't always go as planned. I am still learning to let it go! I am finding going with the flow is much easier and fighting against it. It's hard though being a type A personality who likes control over things!
